Salt Scrubs
I love salt scrubs for my hands and my feet. I have always limited how much I use them because of the cost. I was down to the last of my dead sea salt scrub and went to order more just to find that the cost had again increased. So I did some searching on the internet to look up ways to make at home. I had seen one that was sugar in an issue of "Women's Day" when I was in the waiting room once, so I knew it could be done. So here is what I have found.
Most say just use a sea salt or sugar (for sensitive skin) add oil (baby, almond or other oils) and if you want aromatherapy then add like lavender or such oil to it. Well they don't always say how much of what. So I will be make this over the weekend and give you all the recipe.

  • Course sea salt
    • Usually in bulk at most grocery stores, if you have a Dollar Tree store near you they have them for of course..... $1
    • If you have sensitive skin try "Sugar in the Raw" it works great also
  • Skin friendly oil
    • Lavender or Almond (any flavor you like). You can use olive or even canola oil, however, these will not last as long so you will want to make a small batch.
  • You can use essential oils such as fresh lavender, rose petals or rosemary. Just let them dry first. You can use other spices from you spice rack.
Remember: Using natural products are always best. Make in small batches and use within a week or two to avoid bacteria growth that can be harmful.
